New Year’s Eve and I’m giving me and my group a half day off to prepare for the evening. Not much tonight for me. I’m just staying home after an early dinner party.
I thought I’d write these out so you’d know what I like. People always ask me what kind of woman I am when I have my clothes on. I think I’m just like any other woman. I like sappy movies. I don’t listen to heavy metal music, nor do I listen to feminist Nazi music. Despite my business image and my doings here on Dreamnet, I’m just pretty normal I think. So I thought I’d put this list together of music I listened to a lot this year as well as movies I saw and enjoyed.
These only have to be things I like of saw in 2003, it doesn’t mean that the item had to have come out in 2003. I also haven’t seen or heard some movies or albums so Cold Mountain for example isn’t on this list.
Top 5 Favorites lists for Rebecca of 2003:
1. Annie Lennox- Bare
2. John Mayer – Heavier Things
3. Coldplay – A Rush of Blood to the Head
4. Dido – Life for Rent
5. Seal IV
1. Love Actually
2. Something’s Gotta Give
3. Calendar Girls
4. American Wedding
5. Lord of the Rings
Top TV Sitcoms or Dramas (Reality and News shows excluded):
1. Will and Grace
2. Sex and the City
3. Everybody Loves Raymond
4. Yes Dear
5. Hidden Hills (cancelled)
Look for my update later today! I hope you are all well. I was on the chat last night and I guess everyone is taking vacation as I hardly saw a name that I recognized. Not even a Cg, Mountainlady, Timmy, George, or BigMo sighting.
What is my update? Hmmm, if you are reading this then you are a good member and deserve to know.
It is my full New Year’s Eve pictorial. Champagne Wishes and Caviar Dreams for all of you. What better way to end 2003 or start 2004? With me! I’ve also attached a brief clip of me wishing you all a Happy New Year! You can sit there and just watch me and count down the last seconds of the year! I have a feeling 2004 will be a very good year!
I hope this note finds all of you who are working this week and not on vacation (BK and George – who both responded to my last post) in a good mood and helps you get through the week.
Back to work. I have no motivation. Hardly anyone is here! But I’m being a good soldier and holding down the fort.
Also, just like work, I don’t take the week off on Dreamnet either. My New Year’s update will be going up tomorrow afternoon. I hope you will like it!
Did everyone have a nice long weekend? I was a real couch potato. I’m one of those people who really is a lazy couch potato by nature, but I have to work a 100 mph just to avoid my tendencies of being a laggard. Does that make sense? I just know if I stop for a second, I can’t get my engine going again.
I just saw an article that only 33% of Americans are working today. Are you one of them?
Hope you are all enjoying the holidays. My husband has gotten me to spend a majority of it watching the first two parts of Lord of the Rings on DVD and then tonight we got a babysitter and went to see the final chapter! Over 3 hours! I was very impressed with the cinematography!
A very good movie! I haven’t been to the theatres in a while. $8 for a movie! Outrageous! But it was nice to sit with a bucket of popcorn and a soda and watch a movie like that on a big screen.
Well it is late. Must sleep.
Just finished doing my Santa duties laying out the gifts and drinking the milk and eating the cookies. It is great when kids are still young and don’t know.
I just want to wish you all a Merry Christmas to you and yours. And think of those less fortunate and make them feel loved!
Have a great weekend!
In the office and nobody is here! Well there are people, but I feel like one of the few people on earth working!
I do love working the wek of Christmas as I don’t have to do a whole lot except file more work on people’s desks while they flew off to see their families in Florida or some warmer climate!
It was so nice to get a message from Mark on my voicemail this morning. I was one of those “I feel so guilty, but I’m glad it happened” remarks. I feel the same way. it was so out of character for me, but I’m just going to claim that “Dreamnet made me do it”.
You guys are really helping me to come out of my shell!
Why didn’t I go to church today?
Because I went to our Company Winter Formal last night at a hotel downtown. We were drinking in the cocktail lounge before they opened up the ballroom and I guess I must have had too much to drink!
I spotted “Mark”, my peer from the Southern Region. He was up here to visit relatives for the holidays and decided to come by our party. Mark is just “tall, dark and handsome” to put it bluntly. Anyway, we were joking around about how my region outperformed his, etc. I cover a bigger area which is a bit unfair, but I just played it off and told him that I was just superior and he kidded me that it was because I was a “beautiful” woman.
While I hear comments like that on Dreamnet, I’ve never been told that by a man at work, much less a good looking one with a beautiful body. He started kidding me that I was probably using my feminine ways to close deals and I just went along and said “yeah”.
We got carried away and didn’t even notice people filing into the ballroom. Suddenly Mark kissed me and pulled me over to a corner of the cocktail lounge and told me to show him how I close my deals. The next thing you know, I’m giving him a lap dance right there in the cocktail lounge! Now I know why they call it that!
Now you are probably wondering….catch that on film? Hmmmmm…maybe.
Happy Hanukkah to all my Jewish members out there. Say hi to Harry Hanukkah for me! I still love that old SNL skit about Harry Hanukkah!
While I’m at it:
Of course I’m non-denominational. I’m all about festivities for all of us. Wherever you are and whomever you may be, I wish you lots of joy and happiness this holiday season.
I will still have my updates for the next two weeks, but I just want to let you know I have a bunch of events I have to attend with family and friends, but will try and stay in touch as much as possible.
Well my new update comes today. As you recall it is from my surprise weekend my hubby gave me with just us alone. Now I hope you play along because it will be more fun for you.
Look at the free photos first! I want to see how many photos it takes for you to figure out where we were and then send me a note to let me know. I’d be really impressed if you could figure it out without seeing the club photos!
Have fun and I hope you enjoy!
Thanks to all those who chatted with me tonight. It was nice to get back in the room and talk with real people…ha ha
I can’t wait til next week is over. I don’t know about you all!
Well I have to go wrap gifts for the office! We are having Kris Kringle Secret Santa gifts this week! Yikes!
